The Galaxy S20 FE (Fans Edition) was introduced to help boost the sales of the S20 lineup which fell significantly compared to its predecessor, the S10 series lineup. You might be wondering what differentiates the Galaxy S20/21 FE from the regular Galaxy S20 or S21 line of devices. Well, for one, it is cheaper than the Galaxy S series. So, if the premium Galaxy S21 is too expensive for you, you should consider getting the Galaxy S21 FE. If tweets from popular phone leaker, Evan Blass is anything to go by, we expect the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE to be unveiled sometime this year. With that said, here’s what to expect from the device when it is released:
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: What to Expect
What it’ll Look Like
The 3D model shared by Evan Blass showed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will look exactly like the regular Galaxy S21 smartphone. It features three rear cameras (32MP+12MP+8MP) and one front-facing punch hole camera (12MP lens). The device will also feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Upgraded Chipset
Unlike the Galaxy S20 FE that is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor (for the 5G version) and Samsung’s Exynos chipset for the 4G version, the new Galaxy S21 FE will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 888.
YouTube Partnership
We also hear that the device could include four free months of YouTube Premium. SamMobile recently reported that Samsung France’s website briefly listed YouTube premium as one of the perks coming with the purchase of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Full details about the release and the specifications of the Galaxy S21 FE haven’t been released yet. We will continue to update this as we hear more about new features, specifications, and release date approaches.
